About Mirada Estates

One of the more unique residential communities of Rancho Mirage, California, is Mirada Estates, which balances peaceful living with convenience. Located 600 feet about the valley floor, residents here enjoy breathtaking scenery of the valley and city lights.

This guard-gated community looks down at the nearby Ritz Carlton Hotel that offers many amenities to its neighboring residents. These luxury homes range from 4,000 to over 7,000 square feet and reflect a variety of architectural designs like contemporary and Spanish colonial. The secluded area is in the middle of over 270,000 acres of wilderness. The word “Mirada” means “look” in Spanish and the estates were named because of the spectacular 360 degree views. Designers wanted this community to blend into its environment creating an untouched look even though state-of-the-art luxury is right in the middle of it.

Homes at Mirada Estates have their own floor plans and designs that are completely unique from each other. You’ll find many luxurious amenities like walls of glass, home theaters, built in bars, large gourmet kitchens with center islands, fitness rooms, master suite hot tubs, breakfast nooks, beautiful formal dining rooms, and several fireplaces. There are salt water pools and fire pits in the lavish backyards. Schools that service this area include Cathedral City Elementary, Nellie N. Coffman Middle School, and Cathedral City High School.

Across Highway 111 are several country clubs and Rancho Mirage has twelve golf courses to choose from. The first to be built in this area was the Thunderbird Guest Ranch which was opened in 1946. Popular resorts include the Tamarisk Country Club, Mission Hills Country Club, The Springs Country Club, Sunrise Country Club, and Hotels Missions Hills Resort. The Coachella Valley also offers many trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding and the city has many courts and facilities for tennis and swimming.
